Moment by Moment

There is no manual for the day after. For the ordinary Tuesday that arrives uninvited and undoes you. For the birthday, the anniversary, the song on the radio, the empty chair.

Moment by Moment was made for exactly those days. Not to fix you. Not to rush you. To sit beside you, one moment at a time, while you grow with your grief.

You do not need to be at any particular stage. You do not need to be coping well, or coping badly, or coping at all. Moment by Moment meets you wherever you are today.

It is for the woman who is tired of being told to be strong. The one who is sick of ‘at least’ and ‘everything happens for a reason.’ The one who suspects, quietly, that she is allowed to still have a life worth loving — and wants something honest to hold onto while she finds it.

I’m Tabby Kerwin — a psychologist, a widow, and the person behind Widowhood Made Me Happier. Moment by Moment is the resource I wished someone had handed me in the early days. Part of what I understand about grief comes from the research. The rest I learned the hard way, after my husband Simon died in 2018.

It is warm, practical and real. No clinical language. No toxic positivity. No timeline you’re failing to keep up with. Just steady, honest support you can reach for moment by moment — on the days you can manage a lot, and the days you can only manage one breath at a time.

Support for the moment you’re actually in.

✦ Honest, grounding words for the days that knock you sideways

✦ Gentle, practical ways to steady yourself when grief arrives without warning

✦ Permission — to feel everything, to still find joy, to do it your own way

✦ A companion that understands grief is not a line you walk, but something you grow alongside

✦ Something to return to again and again, whenever you need it

Instant download. Yours to keep. Open it at 3am or never — it will be there when you need it.

Why Moment by Moment? Because nobody grieves a whole year at once.

Grief feels impossible when you try to carry all of it at the same time. The future feels unbearable. The past aches. So we don’t do that here.

We do this moment. Just this one. And when it passes, the next. That is how I survived my hardest days, and it is how thousands of widows have found their way back to a life that holds both their grief and their happiness — not one instead of the other, but both, together.

ABOUT TABBY

I’m not just a psychologist who teaches about grief. I’m a widow who has grown through it.

I was widowed at 41. I know the shock, the loneliness, the identity crisis, and the exhaustion of performing “fine” for everyone else. When I was widowed, I had to start navigating life solo.

A solo mum.

A solo life.

A solo CEO and business owner…

…and I didn’t have family around to lean on.

There weren’t resources to show me what to do. I worked it out.

I worked out how to be happy and thriving and honour my loss…

… and now I want to share that with YOU. To help you be happier in widowhood too.

I also know (from lived experience and 20+ years of psychology) that it is possible to build a life that is genuinely, meaningfully, joyfully yours again.

I travel solo. I run my company. I have adventures I never imagined. I laugh — really laugh — most days.

And every single day, I miss Simon.

Both are true. Both are allowed. And I want to show you how.
